Dorothy Storm, co-founder and chief fitness director at Body by Storm, is a fitness professional with over 7 years experience in personal strength training. Dorothy’s success has been in transforming her clients into leading stronger, leaner more energetic lives. Dorothy has had a passion for health and fitness from her early days with competition karate to later studying and performing ballet for over 15 years.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Biology, Dorothy aggressively followed her passion for health and fitness. Her physician recommended the book “Younger Next Year” by Chris Crowley & Henry Lodge, M.D. As a result, Dorothy understood that strength training needed to be integrated into her health and fitness regimen. She investigated the SuperSlow system of Strength training. Could it be true, build lean muscle in one weekly thirty-minute session? Trying the system with skepticism, she became a true believer at her very first SuperSlow session! The system actually works! She not only found a superior strength training protocol, but a new career path.
Dorothy was now excited to share her new found “fountain of youth” with whomever would listen, attaining both her National Academy of Sports Medicine personal trainer certification and Power of 10 certification. She opened her first Slow Motion High Intensity Studio in 2009 and recently created a state-of-the-art strength training facility in Valley Village, Body by Storm. Her main purpose is simple: to share her vast knowledge and experience of fitness to improve the quality of your life!
